University of Leicester
Summary
The University of Leicester was established in 1921 and received its Royal Charter in 1957. It has had notable research successes including the invention of Genetic Fingerprinting and the discovery of the remains of King Richard III.
STFC works extensively with the University of Leicester, particularly in computing, astronomy and space science.
